Welcome!

North Kingstown is located on the West Passage of Narragansett Bay and is an easy sail from Newport and Block Island. With nearly 30 miles of coastline and two major harbors, North Kingstown is a popular destination for cruising sailors. Wickford Harbor contains several full-service marinas, shopping, and a quaint New England atmosphere. The Town maintains five transient moorings inside the breakwater. There is safe anchorage outside the breakwater in most weather conditions. Allen Harbor, to the north, has transient slips and moorings as well.

The Harbor Division is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for all who visit us. We will attempt to help you find a mooring or dock space and can give directions to local stores, marinas , provisions, and restaurants.

We monitor channels 16 and 9. After making contact we will have you switch to channel 65 to continue.
