Background Checks

Under state and/or federal law, NKPD is required to do background checks for the following individuals:

• Employees of DCYF and Foster Parents (no fee)
• Child Care, Day Care, Nursery School, Preschool employees who live in North Kingstown (no fee)
• Domestic Violence volunteers (no fee), Mental Health employees (no fee)
• School teachers who live in North Kingstown ($36)
• Non-teaching employees of North Kingstown ($36)
• Adoptive Parents (no fee)

North Kingstown Residents who have fingerprint cards supplied by thier employer that only require prints taken (no background check) will be accommodated during background check hours ($6.00 fee)

Background Check Hours:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3pm - 5pm
• By Appointment only
